As Assistant Director of the Business Applications Team, the successful applicant will be required to liaise with business areas to facilitate the development of systems solutions and support related business processes. He or she will coordinate a team responsible for post-production support and will discuss with stakeholders business requirement for systems development. He/she will also manage expenditure against project budgets, and develop and review change specifications.

The ARC provides advice to the Australian Government on research funding and policy and, through its administration of the National Competitive Grants Program (NCGP), promotes and funds the conduct of the highest quality research and research training for the benefit of the Australian community in all fields of science, social sciences and humanities (except clinical medicine and dentistry).
We are offering the opportunity for a person with drive, enthusiasm and a flexible array of skills to join our Program Coordination Branch. The successful applicant will manage a research grants program within the NCGP. This will include leading a team of people to administer the grants program, staff supervision, the provision of administrative and/or policy support to the ARC, undertaking research and analysis in the preparation of policy advice, preparing briefings and correspondence, and liaising with the research sector including universities and other relevant research organisations.
